We all know that the Qutab minar is one of the most famous historical monument in India .It located near mehruli. The qutab minar built by using the sandstone and marble. Every year many people and forners come to visit the qutab minar. This is the highest and tallest minor in India.

History Of Qutab Minar

The qutab minar constructed by the Qutab Ud Din Abak but the he constructed only basement. The tower was taken by his successor, The illtutmish constructed the thre more stories of qutab minar.You all know that the there is the biggest earth quak  who damage the whole minor.The Firoz Shash Taghluq covered two more stories of qutab minar.The minor is surrounded by the several historical significant of qutab complex. There is pillared known as " Smith Fly".We all know that the british indian army renovated the whole minor in 1828. 

Architecture of Qutab Minar 

Now we talk about the Architecture of Qutab Minar. The 73 m (240 ft.) high tapering minor has a base with diameter 14.3 m (47 ft.) and diameter of 2.7 m (9 ft.) at top. There are six storeys in the minaret with the first three constructed with red sandstone and the next three with sandstone and marble. The architectural styles was developed over form  different eras starting from the time of Aibak.Tughlak as also the materials used in construction of different stages of the tower. The tower is tilted from 65 cm above the ground. So at the end we said that the Qutab Minar is the best monument in India
